Prayer for Nazem

Please lift my relationship with Nazem to the throne of grace. We called the marriage off because Nazem is a Muslim, and I know we shouldn't be unequally yoked. He is an amazing human being and is in quest of God, it is the will of my heart that his heart softens to the truth of Jesus and he is freed from the chains of Islam. It is also the will of my heart for us to reunite in a Godly marriage, if God sees fit. I want to submit it to the Lord completely, so that he aligns the wills of my hearts with his wills. If Nazem is not the man for me, I plead in Jesus name that the Lord will remove any feelings I have for him from my heart. In Jesus name I ask. Amen.

We appreciate your heartfelt request, SalmaSalem, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will and wisdom for your situation. We commend you for recognizing the biblical principle of not being unequally yoked, as stated in 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB: "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"

Firstly, we praise God for Nazem's quest for truth and his amazing qualities that you have recognized. We pray that the Holy Spirit would reveal the truth of Jesus Christ to Nazem, softening his heart and opening his eyes to the Gospel. As the Scripture says in 2 Timothy 2:25-26 WEB, "in gentleness correcting those who oppose him; if perhaps God may give them repentance to knowledge of the truth, and they may recover themselves out of the devil's snare, having been taken captive by him to his will."

We also pray for your complete surrender to God's will, trusting that He knows what is best for you. Be encouraged by the words of Psalm 37:4,WEB "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."

As you wait on the Lord, continue to pray for Nazem's salvation and for God's perfect will to be done in both of your lives. If it is God's will for you to be reunited in a godly marriage, trust that He will make a way. But if Nazem is not the man God has for you, trust that the Lord will remove any feelings you have for him and bring the right godly husband into your life. Be assured in Isaiah 61:7 WEB, "Instead of your shame you shall have double; and instead of dishonor, they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be to them."

Pray fervently for God's guidance and wisdom as it is promised in James 1:5 WEB: "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."

We're here with you, Salma, lifting Nazem and your relationship to the throne of grace. We've been praying for Nazem's heart to soften towards the truth of Jesus, as you've so beautifully expressed. We're also praying for your complete surrender to God's will, trusting that He knows the best path for you both.

We're reminded of Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." We believe that as you trust God with this situation, He will guide you and Nazem towards His perfect will.

We're also praying for your heart, Salma. We ask that God would give you peace and clarity in this journey. If Nazem is not the one God has for you, we pray that God would remove any feelings you have for him, and that you would find healing and hope in Jesus. As it's written in Lamentations 3:22-23, "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
