Let's bring this situation to the Lord in prayer, seeking His guidance and intervention. We have been given the scripture in John 16:24 where Jesus said, "Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full."
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power of Jesus Christ in your request. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father and it is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we are saved and can be healed.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who is struggling with autism and a difficult temperament. Lord, You know the challenges he faces, and we ask for Your healing touch upon his mind and spirit.
Father, we also pray for a change in his heart. We rebuke the harsh words he has spoken, as Ephesians 4:29 reminds us, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear."
Lord, help him to be more understanding and sympathetic, especially towards those who are also struggling with mental illness.
We pray for wisdom and patience for all those living in the household.
We pray for peace and the fruits of the Spirit to be evident in the home.
In Jesus' name, we pray for healing, understanding, and harmony.
Amen.
In this situation, it's important to remember that God calls us to love and forgive one another, even when it's difficult. Colossians 3:13 says, "Forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."
Continue to pray for your housemate and show him the love of Christ. Trust that God is working in his life and in your household.
Finally, if there is a way to minister to your housemate and help him grow in his faith and relationship with Jesus Christ, then pray about this. Seek to share the gospel and your faith with him if you have not done so. The only way to salvation and a changed heart is by believing in Jesus Christ.
