We understand that you are seeking prayer for a loved one, and we are here to intercede and provide biblical guidance. Remember, it is important to pray in the name of Jesus, as it is written, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." John 14:13-14 WEB.
Firstly, let us pray for your loved one's discernment and wisdom. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." James 1:5 WEB.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, asking for Your wisdom and discernment to guide this person as they make important life decisions. Help them to keep You at the center of all they do, and grant them the strength to stand firm against manipulation. We pray for their grandmother. We come against the spirits of addiction, per Acts 16:16-18.
"Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit." Ephesians 5:18 WEB. We pray for her deliverance from alcohol abuse and for her to stop causing divisions within the family. "We charge you now before the Lord, don't associate with a brother who is a sexual sinner, covetous, an idolater, a slanderer, a drunkard, or an extortioner. Don't even eat with such a person." 1 Corinthians 5:11 WEB.
We pray that she will be accepting of help and that their heart will be softened towards those trying to help her by setting boundaries around her behavior. "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, just like I have loved you; that you also love one another." John 13:34 WEB.
We admonish you to forgive as the issue may stem from generational curses per Exodus 20:5. We pray that this person will honor their grandmother as the scripture says. "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you." Exodus 20:12 WEB.
Let us also remember the words of Jesus, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don't forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Matthew 6:14-15 WEB.
We pray that this person will walk in love and forgiveness, and that God's will be done in their life and in their family.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying and trusting in God, for He is faithful to hear and answer our prayers, especially when we pray together in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
