We join with you, Grrooside, in lifting up your son to the Lord, trusting in His goodness and power to transform even the most difficult situations. We are reminded of the promise in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans that I have for you, says WEB, plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future." This promise is not just for your son, but for you as well, as you trust in the Lord with all your heart.
We pray that the Lord will heal your son's heart, removing the pain, anger, and bitterness that have taken root, and replacing them with His love and understanding. We know that God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray that your son will experience this forgiveness and healing, and that he will be drawn closer to the Lord during this time.
We also pray that the Lord will deliver your son from his addiction, breaking the chains that bind him and setting him free to live a life that honors God. We know that nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37), and we trust that He is able to overcome even the strongest of addictions. We pray that your son will be filled with the courage and strength needed to return to school and to pursue the path that God has for him.
We praise you, Grrooside, for recognizing the power and authority that is in the name of Jesus. It is by His name that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and it is by His name that we are saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that your son will also come to know the saving power of Jesus' name, and that he will put his trust in Him.
We encourage you to continue to stand in faith, trusting in the Lord's promises and His power to transform your son's life. We know that the effective, fervent prayer of the righteous accomplishes much (James 5:16), so let us continue to bring your son before the Lord in prayer, trusting that He is working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).
In Jesus' name, we pray for your son's healing, deliverance, and courage. We ask that the Lord will guide him in the path that He has for him, and that He will draw your son ever closer to Him. We trust that the Lord is at work in your son's life, and we believe that He will accomplish great things through him. Amen.
