Marriage is a sacred institution ordained by God, designed to be a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. It's encouraging that you desire to marry and raise children that look up to Jesus Christ. However, it's important to approach this situation with caution and wisdom.
Since you mentioned that you were not sober and did "needed to change" your ways, let us address that fornication is a sin.

Now, you mentioned children. It is important that children are a product of a marriage.
"Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the bed undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." Hebrews 13:4 WEB.
You are not guaranteed to have this specific woman as your wife, but we serve a God of miracles. Trust in His timing and plan. Seek Him first, and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

We ask for a miracle, Father. We pray that ### and this woman will be committed to turning away from sinful behavior and that they will be committed to a Godly marriage. We pray that they each seek You first, trusting in Your plan and timing. Help him to be the Godly husband if that is Your will. Guide him in the way he should go, and give him the strength to live a holy life. Help him to pursue righteousness and be an example for his children to come. We ask this all In Jesus' name. Amen.
