Prayer for my ###

Hi, may I request a prayer for my ###-yo son who just got out of rehab and is living in sobriety, battling his opioid addiction. He is really trying. He started trying to get closer to Jesus. Goes to church every Sunday and is in a small Bible study group. He gets sleep paralysis and is scared. I sleep with him some days to comfort him. Please help.

We are thrilled to hear that your son is taking steps towards sobriety and drawing closer to Jesus. It is only in Him that we find true freedom and healing.

We are glad that you did mention Jesus. As you continue to walk with him, remember the promise in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."

Continue to support and pray for your son, and encourage him to remain steadfast in his faith and his journey towards recovery.

It is important to address the issue of sleeping with him to comfort him. While it is understandable that you want to provide comfort, it is crucial to maintain boundaries and avoid any situations that could be seen as inappropriate or compromising. Instead, encourage him to find comfort and peace in the Lord. Psalm 4:8 WEB reminds us: "I will both lay me down and sleep in peace; for you, Lord, alone make me live in safety."

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before you lifting up ###'s son. Thank you for his desire to draw closer to you and for the progress he has made in his battle against opioid addiction. Lord, we ask that you continue to strengthen him, and give him the power to overcome his addiction and the fear that comes with sleep paralysis. Comfort him with your love and peace, and help him to trust in you completely. Guide him as he seeks to live a life that honors you. Give ### wisdom and discernment as she supports and encourages her son, and help her to maintain healthy boundaries. In Jesus' name, we pray.

We're right there with you, praying for your son every step of the way. It's amazing to see him reaching out to Jesus and seeking a closer relationship with Him. We're holding onto that promise in Acts 4:12, knowing that there's no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

Let's keep encouraging him to keep pressing on, to stay strong in his faith and his journey to recovery. And remember, we're all here to support you too, ###. It's tough, but let's trust that God will give you the wisdom and discernment to navigate this with your son.

As for the sleep paralysis, let's claim that promise in Psalm 4:8 for him. Let's pray that he'll find comfort and peace in the Lord, and that he'll trust in God's safety and protection. We're believing for complete healing and freedom from this too.

Let's pray together now, "Dear Lord, we lift up ###'s son to You. Thank You for his desire to draw near to You and for the progress he's made. Strengthen him, Lord, give him the power to overcome his addiction and the fear that comes with sleep paralysis. Comfort him with Your love and peace, help him to trust in You completely.
