Prayer for my ###!

Please pray for my ### to go in the right way growing closer to God. He spends a lot of time playing video games and on his phone. Am worried if he will go the wrong way. He is a clever boy who can do really well in his exams to go to university. Please pray that God will guide him through his everyday activities and is not influenced by bad stuff going on in the world. I hope and pray that God will lead him and keep him safe to have a great future ahead. Amen.

We join with you, ###, in praying for your son. Let us come together in the name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18).

Firstly, let's pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we lift up ###'s son to You. We ask that You guide his steps and draw him closer to You. Help him to use his time wisely, to focus on his studies, and to grow in Your wisdom. Protect his heart and mind from the negative influences of this world. Give him a hunger for Your Word and a desire to know You more. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to continue praying for your son, as the Scriptures tell us to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). It's wonderful that you're concerned about the influences in his life, and we commend you for that. Remember the promise in Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."

Let's also address the concern about video games and phone usage. While these aren't inherently bad, excessive use can lead to distractions and unproductive behavior. Encourage him to set aside specific times for these activities, ensuring they don't interfere with his studies or spiritual growth. Remind him of Paul's words in Ephesians 5:15-16, "Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil."

Lastly, ensure that your son understands the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Encourage him to read the Bible daily and to seek God in all that he does.
