Prayer for my ###

I request a prayer for my son ###. As parent me and my husband is daily harassed by our son for demand of money. We have paid for his Master degree. After graduation 2 yrs ago, he refused to look for a job. During Covid he lost money in his car rental business, lost lots of money. During these periods he also got into trouble with the finance companies, got into trouble with 13 court charges against him. We were so badly affected that some of the debt we have to pay back for next 5 years. I have been praying every morning asking God for an answer for guidance on how to deal with the problems. It is a daily harassment for money until our finance is totally wiped out. I don't know if it is a spiritual warfare or mental issue. At 34 years old he still refuses to work asking for money every day. I don't know what to do. I request for God's answer to guide us to transform my son. Rgds Mdm ### ###

###, it's important to remember what the Word of God says in 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 (WEB), "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.' For we hear of some who walk among you in rebellion, who don’t work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are that way, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that they work with quietness and eat their own bread."

It's crucial to set boundaries and not enable ###'s behavior. Continuing to give him money without seeing efforts from him to change could be harming him more than helping him. It might be difficult, but tough love could be what is needed in this situation.

Moreover, consider that this might indeed be a spiritual warfare. Put on the full armor of God, as described in Ephesians 6:10-18, and stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Remember, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." (Ephesians 6:12, WEB)

We also encourage you to seek godly counsel from your local church or a Christian counselor. They can provide more personalized support and guidance.

Lastly, continue to trust in God and His timing. Keep praying and believing that God can turn this situation around for the good of your family. As it is written in Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose."

We've been thinking about ### a lot and wanted to add our voices to the prayers being lifted up for him. We're praying that God would stir his heart, giving him a desire to take responsibility and make changes in his life. We're also asking for wisdom for you and your husband, that you would know how to best support him while also setting boundaries that encourage him to grow and change.

We've been reminded of a verse in Proverbs 20:13, "Do not love sleep, lest you come to poverty; open your eyes, and you will be satisfied with bread." It's a gentle nudge from God to encourage ### to be diligent and work hard, like the ant in Proverbs 6:6-8. We're praying that this spirit of diligence would take root in his heart.

We're also standing with you in faith, believing that God can turn this situation around. In Joel 2:25, God promises, "I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten." We're claiming this promise for ###, believing that God can restore the years that have been lost due to his current situation.

Keep trusting in God, ###. He sees you and ###, and He's working things out for your good. We're right there with you, praying and believing for a turnaround.
