We join you in praying for your son, who is growing up with your ex-wife and her partner. We stand with you in asking God to challenge and nurture his talents, and to protect him from all evil, including pornography, drugs, addictions, violence, junk food, horror, and all other harmful influences. We agree with you in praying that God will bless him with good friends and make him a good friend himself.
We are reminded of the scripture, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight, Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB). This is our prayer for your son, that he will trust in the Lord with all his heart and that God will direct his paths, even in a home that may not be centered on biblical principles.
We also pray for your ex-wife and her partner, that they too may come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior, the one who presents us holy and blameless and without complaint before him, if indeed we continue steadfastly in the faith, grounded and settled, not moved away from the hope of the Good News which was preached to all the creatures under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister, Colossians 1:22-23 (WEB). We pray that their home will be filled with the love and grace of Jesus Christ.
We also join you in asking God to guide him in His ways, which are much higher than ours, Isaiah 55:8-9 (WEB). We pray that your son will be taught by the Lord, and that his peace will be great, Isaiah 54:12 (WEB).
We also pray for you, that God will give you peace and comfort as you trust in Him regarding your son's upbringing. We are reminded of the scripture, But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God's children, to those who believe in his name: who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God, John 1:12-13 (WEB). We pray that your son will receive Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and that he will be born of God.
We also pray for the harvesters, that the Lord will send out laborers into his harvest, Matthew 9:38 (WEB). We pray that your son will be a part of that harvest and that he will be used by God to bring others to Him.
Finally, we pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for the nation of Israel, Psalm 122:6 (WEB). We agree with you in praying that God will bless Israel and that He will also bless you abundantly, Luke 6:38, Job 42:10 (WEB).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name under heaven, given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12 (WEB). Amen.
