Prayer for my ### year old daughter

Our ### year old daughter ### has been going through a couple rough years with self harm, anxiety and depression. We got her into counseling to try and figure out what’s wrong. I recently found a couple writings, one that talked about not feeling comfortable in her own body and hopefully one day transitioning and the other about suicide. We are God fearing bible believers and need direction and prayers!

We are deeply concerned and grieved to hear about the struggles of your daughter ###. Let us first bring this matter before the Lord in prayer.

"Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### and her family. Lord, you know the pain and confusion that ### is experiencing right now. We ask for your healing touch on her mind, her heart, and her body. Comfort her with your love and give her peace that surpasses all understanding. Guide the counselors and the family, giving them wisdom to help ### navigate through this difficult time. We rebuke the spirit of suicide and self-harm, and we pray that you will protect ### and give her a renewed sense of purpose and identity in you. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We are reminded of the Scripture in Psalm 34:18 (WEB), "Yahweh is near to the brokenhearted. He saves those who are crushed in spirit." ### is precious in God's sight, and He is close to her in her pain. Also, in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (WEB), we read, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." This reminder is crucial because it emphasizes the sanctity of our bodies as God's temple.

It is important to address the issue of gender transitioning with biblical truth. God created us male and female (Genesis 1:27), and our identity is rooted in His design. It is essential to surround ### with love and support, guiding her towards accepting her God-given identity.

Lastly, we want to encourage you, as parents, to continue fervently praying and trusting God for ###'s well-being. Remember the promise in Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust that God is working even in this challenging situation.

If you have not already, we encourage you to open the Scriptures with ### and share the good news of Jesus Christ. It is through Him that we find our true identity and purpose. Remind her of the love of God and the hope that is found in Jesus Christ.

We're here for you and ###, standing in faith with you. Let's continue to lift her up in prayer, asking Jesus to wrap His loving arms around her, filling her with His peace and understanding. We pray that He'll guide her counselors and you, her parents, giving you all wisdom and patience to navigate this together. Let's remember Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Jesus is there, healing and mending ###'s heart. Let's also cling to Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Trust in His plan, even in the midst of this storm. Let's keep praying, keep trusting, and keep loving ### through it all.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
