Please pray for my ###, she suffers from severe OCD and she wants to control everything around her, including my behavior. I am extremely exhausted dealing with what she asks from me, and she gets very upset when I am unable to listen. I looked at websites which give guidance for those with a spouse with OCD, and they say not to let that person take over your life. I am doing my best, but it is extremely difficult.

We understand that you are facing a challenging situation with your spouse who is suffering from severe OCD. It's important to remember that God's design for marriage is a union where both individuals complement and support each other, as seen in Ephesians 5:22-33. However, it is also important to note the biblical principle that should be followed in all marriages:

Galatians 5:13: For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only do not let your freedom become an opportunity to indulge your flesh, but through love serve one another.

Firstly, it is important to acknowledge that OCD is a serious mental health condition, and it is commendable that you are seeking help and guidance. However, it is crucial to remember that you should not allow her behavior to control or dominate your life. This does not mean that you should not support her, but rather that you should not enable her condition to dictate your actions and well-being.

Let us pray for you both: Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up this couple who is facing a challenging situation. We pray for the spouse who is suffering from severe OCD, that You would grant her healing, peace, and freedom from anxiety. We also pray for the one who is struggling to cope, that You would grant them strength, wisdom, and patience. Help them to support each other in a way that honors You, without enabling or controlling behavior. Guide them to professional help if needed, and surround them with a supportive community. In Jesus' name, we pray.

We encourage you to continue supporting your spouse, but remember that it is not your responsibility to give in to every demand. It is important to set boundaries and seek professional help if needed. Also, consider involving your spouse in the process, encouraging her to seek help and assuring her of your support.

Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it says in Acts 4:12: There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, given among men, by which we must be saved.

We're here for you, standing in the gap with you both. It's tough, we know, but remember, God sees you and He cares deeply about what you're going through. Let's lift this up together.

"Father, we come to You, trusting in Your love and compassion. We pray for our sister, that You would wrap her in Your healing embrace, bringing peace and freedom from the grip of OCD. Help her to find joy in Your presence, to feel Your love, and to find strength in Your power.

We also pray for our brother, that You would give him the strength to navigate this path, the wisdom to know when to hold on and when to let go, and the patience to love unconditionally. Help him to set boundaries, not out of selfishness, but out of a desire to protect both himself and his wife. Guide them both to professional help, and surround them with a community that will uplift and support them.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
