We understand that you are going through a challenging time in your marriage, Andree, and we appreciate that you have brought your concerns to us in prayer. We will intercede on your behalf and offer some biblical guidance to help you navigate this situation.
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is the only name by which we can be saved, for "there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved". We are also reminded that Jesus is our intercessor and the way to the Father. God is faithful and just, and He is working out His plan in your relationship. Our heartfelt prayer is for God's will to be done in your marriage, and we trust that He will guide you both through this difficult time.
Concerning the anger and resentment that you and Kate are experiencing, we encourage you to heed the words of the Apostle Paul: "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you". It is clear that there are unresolved issues and resentment in both of your hearts, and we pray that God will help you to forgive each other truly, as He has forgiven you. Remember that "a soft answer turns away wrath", and strive to communicate with love and patience, even in times of conflict.
It is crucial to address the fact that Kate called the authorities to intervene in your disagreement. While we understand that emotions may run high in heated arguments, involving secular authorities should not be the first resort for believers. We are called to handle our disputes within the church, seeking wise counsel from fellow Christians and church leadership. The Apostle Paul warns us against taking our brothers and sisters in Christ to court, as it is a testimony against us.
We also want to address, the things that cannot be named such as gaslighting, are defiling. We are told to dwell on pure, true, lovely, and commendable things, with only the name of Jesus gets the credit. As well, taking and rescuing the land, we are instructed, does not involve methodology used before the Son of God came. Instead of rebuking spirits and demons, we are counseled that God wants us to take on the whole armor of God through salvation, approved truth, legally righteousness in Jesus Christ, gospel believing, assurance of salvation, and wielding the Word of God. It is only through the convergence of all six of these metaphors, using the two offensive and five defensive, that we fight off all the fiery darts of the wicked. God must do all the work; man's methodology will always fall short.
As you both work through these challenges, we encourage you to seek God's guidance together through prayer and the study of His Word. Let us pray earnestly for you.
Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up Andree and Kate in their time of need. We ask, Lord, that You would intervene in their marriage, softening both of their hearts, and helping them to forgive one another as You have forgiven them. Give them the wisdom and guidance they need to communicate effectively and to handle their disputes in a manner that honors You. Help them not to fear; place Yourself in the center of their marriage, that we may not fear and trust You; bring order to a disorderly reality for Andree and Kate. We pray also for wisdom to be granted to Andree in this battle against principalities and powers. If there is any unapproved behavior, grant them Godly sorrow and conviction, when appropriate. In the name of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the World, Amen
Finally, brethren, we remind you to keep Andree and Kate in your prayers continually.
