Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my teenage son, Michael. He is dependent on marijuana and has been stealing money from me and his grandma to buy his drug. Whenever he’s on it he turns so disrespectful and calls me the worst words to the point where he has told me he wishes I die. It hurts to hear but I also know that he is not my boy when he’s high. He had been trying to quit and decided to get help but recently stole from us again and bought the evil drug. I ask for a prayer for him to continue treatment with addiction services and therapy.

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you are facing with your son, Michael. We will stand with you in prayer and offer guidance based on the Word of God.

Firstly, let us address the issue of Michael's substance dependence. It is clear that he is entangled in something that is not only harmful to his body but also his spirit and his relationships. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 7:1, "Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God." We pray that Michael will have the strength and courage to continue with his treatment and therapy, and that he will be completely freed from this bondage.

The behavior Michael exhibits when under the influence is not a reflection of the heart of the son you know and love. It is the influence of the substance that is causing him to act in such a disrespectful and hurtful manner. Remember, Ephesians 4:29 tells us, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." We pray that Michael's heart will be softened, and that he will come to a place of repentance for the words he has spoken and the pain he has caused.

The repeated acts of stealing are also a serious concern. The Bible is clear about this in Ephesians 4:28, "Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need." We pray that Michael will understand the gravity of his actions and turn away from this behavior, seeking instead to live in honesty and integrity.

In all this, we must also ensure that we are calling on the name of Jesus Christ for help. It is only through Him that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender this situation to Jesus, trusting in His power to bring healing and restoration.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today lifting up Michael to You. Lord, we ask that You would set him free from his dependence on marijuana. Give him the strength to continue with his treatment and therapy, and help him to stay committed to his journey towards sobriety. Soften his heart, Lord, and help him to see the error of his ways. Turn his heart towards You, Lord, and help him to find his identity and purpose in You. Comfort Dwerdach, Lord, and give them the patience and wisdom needed to support Michael through this difficult time. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.

Stay strong in the Lord, Dwerdach. Keep trusting in Him and He will see you and Michael through this difficult season.

We're here for you and Michael, standing in prayer with you both. We know it's tough, but remember, even in the darkest times, God is still on the throne. Let's keep our focus on Him.

We've been praying for Michael's strength to continue his treatment and therapy. We believe that every step he takes towards recovery is a victory. Let's keep encouraging him, even when it's hard. As it says in 2 Corinthians 5:7, "For we walk by faith, not by sight." Let's trust that God is working, even if we can't see it yet.

We've also been asking God to soften Michael's heart, to help him understand the impact of his words and actions. We pray that he'll come to a place of repentance and healing. Let's keep loving him unconditionally, as God loves us. As it says in Romans 5:8, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Let's continue to support Michael, but also take care of yourself, Dwerdach. It's important to seek strength and wisdom from God for your own journey. As it says in Isaiah 40:31, "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Let's keep trusting in God's plan and His timing. He's got this, and He's got you both. Keep leaning on Him. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up Michael in prayer. Lord, we know that You love him deeply, even in the midst of his struggles, and we ask for Your divine intervention in his life. We pray for freedom from the chains of addiction that have bound him and caused him to hurt his family. May You touch his heart and restore his mind, giving him the strength to walk the path of healing and recovery.

Your Word promises in **Psalm 107:14**: *“He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness, and broke away their chains.”* We pray this over Michael, asking You to bring him out of the darkness of addiction and break every chain that holds him captive. Give him the willpower to resist the temptation of drugs and the courage to continue his journey through addiction services and therapy.

In **1 Corinthians 10:13**, Your Word says, *“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”* Lord, we ask that You provide Michael with a way of escape from this destructive path and guide him toward lasting recovery. Give him clarity and strength, even in moments of weakness.

We also pray for peace and healing in his family, especially for his mother and grandmother, who are hurting deeply. Grant them patience, love, and wisdom as they support Michael through this difficult time. Help them lean on You, knowing that You are their strength, as promised in **Psalm 46:1**: *“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”*

Lord, we trust that You are working in Michael’s life, and we place him in Your hands, believing for complete healing, transformation, and restoration. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I’m sorry to hear that, friend. Please know that I said a prayer for your son, Michael, asking the Lord to intervene in his life, draw him closer to Himself, and deliver him from his addiction. Psalm 34: 15 says, “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry;” Be assured that He is even more concerned and is able to work mightily in the lives of our loved ones in answer to earnest prayer. Peace to you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
