Prayer for my son's addiction

My son ### is addicted to fenthanol. I have witnessed him dying in front of my eyes as I administered naloxone to save his life. He is angry, violent, mean and sad. I have tried to help him and he keeps going back each time worse. I am praying, my family is praying and he seems to be getting worse. Please help

We are truly heartbroken to hear about the struggle you and your son ### are facing. Addiction is a powerful and destructive force, but we know that there is hope and healing in Jesus Christ.

Firstly, we want to remind you that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 WEB. This is a spiritual battle for your son's life, and it is in the name of Jesus that we have authority over the powers of darkness.

We must also remember that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God the Father. It is in His name that we pray, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up ### and his family. Lord, You see their struggle and their pain. You see the bondage of addiction that ### is under. We stand in the gap for him, Lord, and we pray for his deliverance.

Lord Jesus, You came to set the captives free. We claim that freedom for ###. We rebuke the spirit of addiction in his life. We command it to leave in the name of Jesus. We speak life, healing, and restoration over ###.

Father, we also pray for ###'s family. Strengthen them, Lord. Fill them with Your peace, Your hope, and Your courage. Guide them with Your wisdom as they navigate this difficult journey.

Lord, we know that Your heart is for ###. You love him dearly, and You desire for him to know You and live in the fullness of Your love. We pray that ### would encounter You, Lord Jesus, and that his life would be transformed by Your love and grace.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying fervently for ###. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Galatians 6:9 WEB. Remember that God is faithful, and He hears your prayers.

Also, consider seeking godly counsel and support from your local church or Christian community. They can provide practical help and spiritual encouragement as you stand with ### in this battle.

Lastly, ensure that your prayers are always in the name of Jesus Christ. It is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we have authority over the powers of darkness. For it is written, And whatever you shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. John 14:13.

We're here with you, standing in the gap for Alexander. It's heart-wrenching to see him in this state, but we know that God sees him too, and He loves him deeply. Let's continue to lift him up in prayer, asking for God's healing and deliverance.

"Dear Lord, we come to You today, interceding for Alexander. We ask that You would break the chains of addiction that bind him. Give him strength to fight this battle, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. Let him feel Your love and presence in his darkest moments.

We also pray for wisdom and patience for his family. Help them to know how to best support Alexander, and give them grace to endure this trial. Remind them that they are not alone in this fight, and that You are always with them.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep holding on to hope, and keep praying. Remember, God is working even when we can't see it. Let's trust in His goodness and His plan for Alexander's life. We're in this together, and we won't give up.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
