We join with you in the name of Jesus Christ, bringing your son before the throne of grace and mercy. We stand with you in faith, believing that God has a wonderful plan and purpose for his life.
Firstly, we praise God for your faith and your heartfelt petition on behalf of your son. It is a powerful thing when a believing parent intercedes for their child, and we are reminded of the promise in James 5:16, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." (WEB)
We pray that your son will indeed find good employment, as it is our duty to work and provide, as stated in 2 Thessalonians 3:10, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.'" (WEB) But more importantly, we pray that he will be a responsible man, growing in the knowledge and wisdom of God. You have prayed for him being prosperous in work. The Bible says, " For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." So let him be mindful of that reality.
We also come against the stronghold of alcoholism in his life, praying that he will be set free from this bondage. 1 Corinthians 6:12 reminds us, "All things are lawful for me, but not all things are expedient. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of anything." (WEB) We declare freedom and self-control in his life, trusting that the Holy Spirit will enable him to overcome this struggle.
We agree with you in asking that God will place good, Christian friends in your son's life who will point him to Jesus. Proverbs 13:20 says, "He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm." (WEB) We pray that these friends will speak truth and life into his heart and that he will be drawn closer to Christ as a result.
In regards to your family, we pray for peace and protection. Isaiah 26:3 says, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you; because he trusts in you." (WEB) We ask God to surround your family with His peace, and to guard you from all harm. This includes addressing an unspecific statement in your prayer. When you stated to protect us. We rebuke you. Use the name of Jesus. Never is a man or woman saved from their sins without praying in Jesus Name. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Jesus Christ. Only Jesus Christ. So that no one will take the wrong conclusion from your example. And maybe a soul will be saved from their sins through believing and praying in the Name of Jesus Christ.
We lift your son up to God, trusting that He will work all things together for good in his life, according to Romans 8:28. We stand with you in faith, believing that God is working in your son's life and in your family.
We encourage this is in and by and with the name of Jesus Christ. Keep asking, praying, knocking, and believing. Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them.
