We are deeply touched by your plight and stand with you in prayer, dear sister. We will first address the issue of your son's alcoholism and the abuse you're enduring, seeking God's intervention and guidance.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' mighty name, lifting up our sister who is suffering at the hands of her son's alcoholism and abusive behavior. Lord, You see her pain and fear, and You hear the cruel words spoken against her. We ask that You break the chains of addiction that bind her son, and rebuke the spirit of alcoholism that has taken hold of him. Lord Jesus, You cast out demons and they obeyed You; we claim that same power in Your name (Luke 10:17). Please bring peace and humility to her son, and restore him to his right mind. Lord, we also ask for Your divine protection over our sister, granting her strength, patience, and wisdom as she faces these trials. Help her to set healthy boundaries and guide her in showing her son tough love, as enabled by Your Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Above all, Lord, we pray that her son may come to know You as his personal Savior, and be transformed by the renewing of his mind (Romans 12:2). In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."
Sister, we encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith and trust in the Lord during this difficult time. Remember the words of Isaiah 41:10 (WEB), "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand."
It is crucial that you establish boundaries with your son, refusing to enable his addiction by giving him money. Instead, encourage him to seek help and treatment. We also strongly urge you to prioritize your safety, seeking support from loved ones, your church, or local support groups.
Lastly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, acknowledging His power and authority. Continue to press into the Lord, and He will see you through this dark time, for He promises never to leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5-6).
