We join with you, Urayell, in lifting up your sons before the throne of grace, trusting in the power of prayer and the promises of God's Word.
Firstly, let us pray for your youngest son in Army boot camp. We are reminded of Psalm 91:11-12 (WEB), "For he will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. They will lift you up in their hands, so that you won’t strike your foot against a stone." We pray, Heavenly Father, for Your divine protection over him. Keep him safe from all hurt, harm, and danger. Surround him with Your angels and let no weapon formed against him prosper. Grant him strength and courage in this challenging time, and let him find comfort in You.
Regarding your oldest son, we turn to Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB), "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray, Lord Jesus, for guidance, wisdom, and protection for him. Turn his heart away from the wrong crowd and towards You. Open his eyes to see the path You have for him, and give him the strength to walk in it. We also pray for you, Urayell, that God would fill you with His peace, knowing that He loves and cares for your sons even more than you do.
We notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is by His name that we have access to God, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB). We encourage you to call upon the name of Jesus, believing in Him as your Savior, and to teach your sons to do the same.
Lastly, we leave you with this encouragement from Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB), "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
