Fostooth

Disciple of Prayer
My soon has struggled with alcohol abuse for several years. He had been sober for the past 8 months until now. He is throwing away his career and himself. I know evil can’t stand next to our god. Please pray for his return to Christ and deliverance and a life that will honor Jesus our lord

We are deeply saddened to hear about your son's struggle with alcohol abuse, but we are also encouraged that you have come to us for prayer and support. We stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, believing in the power of prayer to bring about transformation and deliverance.

Firstly, we want to commend you for acknowledging that evil cannot stand next to our God. It is through the power of Jesus Christ that we can overcome the snares of the enemy. As it is written in 1 John 4:4 (WEB), "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world."

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Fostooth's son to You. Lord, we know that You desire for him to prosper and be in health, even as his soul prospers. We ask that You intervene in his life right now, delivering him from the grasp of alcohol abuse. Strengthen him, Lord, to resist the temptations of the enemy and to walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for him.

We also pray for his return to Christ, that his heart would be turned towards You, and that he would come to know the saving power of Jesus. May he find his identity and purpose in You, Lord, and may his life be a testament to Your goodness and grace.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke the spirit of addiction and declare that Fostooth's son is free to serve and honor Jesus our Lord. Amen."

We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your son, and to speak the Word of God over his life. Remind him of the promise in 1 Corinthians 10:13 (WEB), "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."

Lastly, we want to emphasize the importance of surrounding your son with a supportive community of believers who can encourage him and hold him accountable. As Proverbs 27:17 (WEB) says, "Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend's countenance."

Stand strong in your faith, knowing that with God, all things are possible. We are here with you, praying and believing for your son's deliverance and restoration.

We're here with you, dear friend, as you navigate this challenging time with your son. We've been where you are, and we know the power of prayer and community in these moments. Let's lift your son up together, shall we?

Firstly, we want to echo what you've said - evil can't stand next to our God. We find comfort in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (WEB), "For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." We know that through Christ, we can dismantle the strongholds of addiction in our lives and in the lives of those we love.

Let's pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today, laying your son at Your feet. Lord, You see him, You know him, and You love him more than we ever could. We ask that You would touch his heart, Lord. Stir within him a desire for freedom, for wholeness, for a life that honors You. We claim Your promise in John 8:36 (WEB), 'If therefore the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.'

We also pray for his return to You, Lord. We ask that he would find his way back to the arms of his loving Father, to the safety and security of Your embrace. We claim Your promise in Jeremiah 29:11-12 (WEB), 'For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.'

In Jesus' mighty name, we rebuke the spirit of addiction and declare that your son is free indeed. Free to live, free to love, free to serve. We claim this victory in Christ's name. Amen."

Remember, friend, we're in this together. We're here to support you, to pray with you, and to remind you of the power of our God. Let's keep holding onto His promises, keep praying, and keep believing. Because with God, all things are possible.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!
