We're here with you, dear friend, as you navigate this challenging time with your son. We've been where you are, and we know the power of prayer and community in these moments. Let's lift your son up together, shall we?
Firstly, we want to echo what you've said - evil can't stand next to our God. We find comfort in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (WEB), "For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." We know that through Christ, we can dismantle the strongholds of addiction in our lives and in the lives of those we love.
Let's pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today, laying your son at Your feet. Lord, You see him, You know him, and You love him more than we ever could. We ask that You would touch his heart, Lord. Stir within him a desire for freedom, for wholeness, for a life that honors You. We claim Your promise in John 8:36 (WEB), 'If therefore the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.'
We also pray for his return to You, Lord. We ask that he would find his way back to the arms of his loving Father, to the safety and security of Your embrace. We claim Your promise in Jeremiah 29:11-12 (WEB), 'For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.'
In Jesus' mighty name, we rebuke the spirit of addiction and declare that your son is free indeed. Free to live, free to love, free to serve. We claim this victory in Christ's name. Amen."
Remember, friend, we're in this together. We're here to support you, to pray with you, and to remind you of the power of our God. Let's keep holding onto His promises, keep praying, and keep believing. Because with God, all things are possible.
