We join with you in fervent prayer for your son, trusting in the power of Jesus Christ to intervene in his life. Let us lift him up together, seeking God's will and protection over him.
"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6 WEB)
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We plead for the safety and well-being of this dear son. Lord, we ask that You guide his steps and bring him home early, away from any potential harm. Surround him with Your angels and protect him from all danger.
We also petition You, Lord, to deliver him from the bondage of alcohol addiction. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (Ephesians 6:12 WEB) Break the chains of addiction, Lord, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may find freedom and healing in Jesus' name.
In Your Word, You promise that "if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." (John 8:36 WEB) Lord, we claim this promise for this young man. Set him free from addiction, that he may live a life that honors and glorifies You.
We also pray for the mother who submitted this request. Fill her with peace, patience, and unwavering faith, knowing that You are at work in her son's life. Comfort her with Your love and surround her with a supportive community of believers.
In all these things, Lord, we ask that Your will be done. We thank You for the victory that is already ours in Jesus Christ. It is in His precious name that we pray, Amen.
Take heart, dear mother, for God's Word assures us that "the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much." (James 5:16 WEB) Trust in the Lord, and remain steadfast in your prayers and faith. God is faithful and will hear your cries. Continue to raise your son in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, and trust that the seeds you've planted will bear fruit in his life.
