We are delighted to join with you in prayer for your son, Bernadette. It is wonderful to see his involvement in this Journalism competition, and we trust that God will guide him throughout this experience.
Let us remember that the ultimate success is not measured by worldly achievements but by our faithfulness to God's will. As it is written in Colossians 3:23 WEB, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. We pray that your son will find the right words to write, not just to impress the judges, but to bring glory to God.
We also pray for his safety and the safety of all students involved in the competition. In Ephesians 6:12 WEB, we are reminded that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness. Therefore, let us pray that God will protect them from any spiritual or physical harm.
Regarding the prayer, May the Holy Spirit be with him always, we want to gently correct and remind you that the Holy Spirit already dwells within your son if he is a believer in Jesus Christ. As it is written in Romans 8:9 WEB, But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if any man doesn't have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his. Therefore, we pray that your son will be filled with the Holy Spirit, that he will be sensitive to His leading, and that he will walk in His power.
Lastly, we want to remind you of the power of Jesus' name. It is by His name that we come to God the Father. In the future, remember to include the name of Jesus in your prayers. As it is written in John 14:13 WEB, Whatever you will ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Now, let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your only Son. We lift up Bernadette's son to You, asking for Your blessing and guidance as he competes in the School District Conference. Help him to find the right words to write, not to gain worldly recognition but to bring glory to Your name. Fill him with Your Spirit, that he may be a good competitor, exhibiting the fruits of the Spirit in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Keep him and all the students safe from any harm, both spiritually and physically. We ask all this in Jesus' name. Amen.
