Thank you for bringing your concern for your son to our attention. We appreciate your trust in our support and prayers. Firstly, it's important to remember that our prayers are not powerful because of our abilities, but because of the One to whom we pray. As the Scripture says, "Let's therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need." Hebrews 4:16 WEB.
We commend your persistence in prayer, as the Bible encourages us to "pray without ceasing." 1 Thessalonians 5:17 WEB.
Let's pray together for your son:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who is in need of a second job to meet his house payments. You know his situation and his needs, Lord. We ask that You open the doors of opportunity for him and guide him to a suitable position. Help him to trust in You, for You are the provider of all good things.
Lord, we also pray for his sense of independence and fulfillment. We ask that You guide from the top of the mountain to the bottom of the valley, to show him how to fly to be himself, to gain the skills to be the man and Christian you have called him to be.
Please remember this agreed prayer from Matthew 18:19: "Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven."
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage your son to keep trusting in the Lord and to seek His will in all things. Remind him that God is faithful and that He cares for him deeply. "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:33 WEB.
We also encourage you and your son to examine your relationship with Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. If your son has not accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior or been baptized, we strongly encourage him to do so. It is only by believing in Jesus Christ that we can be saved. "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10 WEB.
