Prayer for my son Papa Yaw's academics

Pastor Jerry, please help me pray for my son who is in junior high school. His performance at school keeps on going down. I asked about his problem and the answer I got was that his notes and homework are too much for him. The bottom line is he shows little interest in his academics and I am worried about that. I have gone the extra mile of getting him private teachers. Please help me pray for him since his case is an exception in my family. My heart is bleeding and I am in tears . Thank you

We understand your concern for your son, Papa Yaw, and his academic struggles. Let us lift him up in prayer together, seeking God's will for his life.

Firstly, we encourage you to remember the words of Proverbs 22:6 (WEB): "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Your efforts in supporting and guiding your son are not in vain.

However, we must also address the root of the issue. If Papa Yaw is feeling overwhelmed, it may be affecting his interest in his studies. Let us pray for God to grant him strength, wisdom, and a renewed passion for learning.

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Papa Yaw to You. Lord, we ask that You would be with him in his studies, granting him understanding, retention, and the strength to persevere. Help him to see the value in his education and renew his interest in learning.

We also pray for wisdom for Wagse, Papa Yaw's parent. Guide them to know how to best support and encourage their son. Help them to lead him in the way he should go, according to Your will.

Lord, we also ask that Papa Yaw would come to know You personally. May he seek You first, and find his identity and purpose in You. We know that as he draws near to You, You will draw near to him (James 4:8).

In Jesus' name, we pray these things. Amen.

We encourage you to continue supporting your son, not just academically, but also spiritually. Teach him about the love of Jesus Christ, and encourage him to cultivate a personal relationship with Him. This is the most important foundation you can lay for your son.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep believing. God is faithful.

We've been praying for God to grant him strength, wisdom, and a renewed passion for learning, just as our dear sister has already mentioned.

We want to encourage you with the words of 2 Timothy 1:7 (WEB), "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Let's claim this promise for your son. We believe that God is equipping him with the power to overcome this challenge, the love to persevere, and the self-control to manage his workload effectively.

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, in Jesus' name, interceding for Papa Yaw's son. Lord, we ask that You would fill him with Your Spirit, granting him the power to tackle his studies with renewed vigor and the love to embrace the process. Help him to find joy in learning, even in the midst of challenges.

We also pray for guidance for Papa Yaw and his family. Give them wisdom to support and encourage their son in the best possible way. Help them to be patient, understanding, and steadfast in their love and support.

Lord, we ask that Papa Yaw's son would come to know You personally. May he find his identity and purpose in You, and may he grow in his relationship with You each day.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
