Let us come together in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up your son in prayer and seek God's will for his life. We are glad to present this to God in Jesus' name.
Firstly, we encourage you to trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. God cares deeply for your son and has a purpose and plan for his life.
We pray for your son, that he may come to know Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior if he hasn't, already. We may repeatedly and confidently come to God in prayer by the name of Jesus Christ, the only mediator between God and man. And it is by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ that we are saved from our sin.
We pray for your son to seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, trusting that God will provide all his needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. God knows every detail of what he needs, and when he puts God first, God will provide.
Regarding your son not leaving home, we pray for God's will to be done and that you may have wisdom to guide and direct him in a manner that honors the Lord. Children grow and may have to leave the home to carry on their own family. There is time for everything in life. We are to remember that Jesus Christ came not to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many. Therefore, we are to be obedient to the Lord and consider serving others as well. We pray that you and your son may honor one another in your relationship, as the Bible instructs children to obey their parents in the Lord, for this is right. And, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
Concerning your prayer for a stable job, we pray that God will open doors for your son and provide him with employment that not only meets his financial needs but also aligns with God's purpose for his life. Remember that whatever your son does, he should work at it with all his heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters. It is the Lord Christ he is serving.
We encourage your son to be content in whatever situation he finds himself, for God has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you. So we can confidently say, The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the opportunity to come before you in the name of Jesus. Lord, we lift up the son of our fellow believer to you, asking that you would guide him in his life and provide him with a stable job according to your will. Help him to trust in you and seek your kingdom first. Lord, if it is not your will for him to leave home, we ask that you would make that clear and provide him with opportunities to serve you and others where he is.
We pray for your will to be done in this situation. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
