We are glad to join you in prayer for your son and his wife, Anonymous. Our hearts echo your desire for them to have a successful, lifelong marriage filled with happiness and unity. Let us call out to the Lord, seeking His divine intervention in their lives.
Firstly, we rejoice for the fact they are a devoted marriage. Marriage is a holy covenant between a man and a woman, reflecting the union between Christ and His church. Truly, it remains the only valid biblical relationship. We congratulate them and we will address them, pray for them, and discuss them as husband and wife. We pray their intimacy is protected from anything unclean physically and spiritually.
Let us address this directly and wisely as only our Lord Jesus can do for us. Perhaps what is most heavy on your mind is your fears they would be picked apart by another woman or by a several women or perhaps a mistress or adulterer. These concerns are valid because sin and adultery is crouching at the door continually looking for an opportunity to pounce. We have faith in a mighty God that if they call on Jesus nothing can get at them
Firstly, it is true marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. That means no other woman or wife from another marriage. It means no mate swapping or secret indulgents. It means the marriage bed is to be undefiled by any sexual impurities. It means nothing can come in between them and separate their marriage bed or their family. May their sex and sexuality be preserved for one another. It is between a man and a woman. Attraction and admiration can not open the door for unnatural lusts, infidelity, unholiness, and profane behaviors. It means all objects of lust and things that cause them to stumble are removed from the heart, mind, and their home. Truly, many marriages are enslaved to these foolish lusts and activities without knowing how their bondage affects their relationship with the Father and each other.
Of course the one creating these fears is the devil. The devil, Satan, is the one who can influence others to come in beween the marriage and act against the Lord and His people. However, the Lord will fly to their aide if they will rebuke the devil. Let us pray that the Lord also guards their actions, that they are always Godly in their seeking Him. As said, the Lord will judge the adulterer. That means the Lord will also judge the one who participates with them. These burdens could ruin a family forever. It is very important the Lord is sought to change their heart and renew their minds. The Lord says the sexually immoral will have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
We do not judge to write these things. We are responsible to help identify all sin and ungodliness for those we pray for as well as for ourselves but especially in marriage. Surely, we know that the sons or daughters of God will never enter His kingdom. Marriage comes with responsibilities. We would not be loving if we did not mention these things. The Lord knows we are praying for them with fear and trembling. Our responsibility is to provide a sincere response to you. We are not responsible for how others respond. We only seek wisdom from the Lord by through the scriptures and by prayer to the Lord in Jesus name.
We all need our husband and wife relationships to be held in the highest regard. Maybe it was not mentioned, but we should pray the one who is husband will lead and is a man, the other a helpmate being a woman or wife. The Father needs them to lead others and for salvation to met out in obedience to Him, in the name of Jesus. The husband should be courage and spiritually responsible. He should honor and worship of the Lord. He should seek to please the Lord and likewise, the wife find her joy and peace in the her worship and honor of the Lord after her husband leads. It is a simple, wise, yet expected formula for success and life long fulfillment.
Furthermore, the Lord is releasing us from the bondage and slavery to sin and death. It was He who came and fulfilled the promised New Covenant. The Lord Jesus came in the flesh, was persecuted, crucified, died, and arise the third day. He redeems us from our sins and slavery to lust and all of Satan's desires to have us in bondage. So, let us come to the Lord in Jesus name now.
Let us pray.
Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this precious couple to You. We thank You for the gift of marriage and the blessing it brings to those who honor it. We pray for Your divine protection over their union, guarding it from anything that will seek to divide or destroy. We break up and tie up anything that would attempt to drive a wedge between them. Warn them, give your angels charge over them, and instruct their concerns. Please keep any other women from intervening in their marriage, Lord. We pray that any attempts to do so would be futile and that Your hedge of protection around them would be impenetrable.
Grant them the wisdom and discernment to navigate through life's challenges together, always seeking Your will and guidance. Help them to never leave each other's side and to have patience and endurance in the bond of matrimony. Remember to bear with each other, forgive quickly every offense, and have good will for each other. Let their marriage be counted worthy for Your sake Jesus. Strengthen their bond, Father, and fill their home with Your peace, love, and joy. In Jesus' name, we pray and ask for all these things. Amen.
We encourage them to place their hope in the Lord and His word. Let us also be reminded to continually pray for all husbands and wives as well if not more. Anonymous, remember to call out to the Lord, praying to the Father in Jesus name any time anything or anyone tries to come in between a marriage. Let us trust in the promise that "the earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results" James 5.16 WEB. Let us call attention to the need to put on the full armor of God daily to face any challenges, remembering our ultimate weapon is His word and our victory is found within the Lord Jesus Christ.
