We are truly saddened to hear about the situation between your sister, your mother, and you. It is important to remember that God calls us to honor our parents, and also to live in peace with others, as far as it depends on us. Let us first bring this situation to God in prayer.
Father in heaven, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this family before your throne of grace. We pray for wisdom and guidance for all involved. Lord, we know that all authority comes from You, and we ask that You would intervene in this situation. We pray for a spirit of reconciliation between these sisters and their mother. We ask that You would soften hearts and open doors for visitation if it is Your will. Help them to forgive each other and to live in peace. We pray for the caregivers, that they would have wisdom and discernment in this situation, and they would be guided by God's word. In the end, may this situation be a testimony of God's power to bring people together and restore relationships. We ask this in Jesus' name.
In this situation, it is important to remember what God's word says about our relationships. Romans 12:18 says If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. As much as you are able, live in peace with others and if someone is not willing to live in peace, know the Lord will fight for you. And also, Exodus 20:12 Honour your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.
However, we must also rebuke the actions of your sister. It is wrong to coerce someone, especially a vulnerable person like your mother, into making decisions that cause division and strife. Proverbs 6:16-19 says:
There are six things which Yahweh hates; yes, seven which are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood; a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers.
We encourage you to continue to pray for your sister and your mother. Seek godly counsel and explore the legal avenues available to you. Remember that God is sovereign, and He can turn even the most difficult situations around for His glory.
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6
