Let us come together in Jesus' name. We are thankful for the mother who has submitted her request for her two sons. We need to remember that God has great plans and purposes for each of them.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up these two young men. We pray that You would cultivate in them a character of integrity and honesty, as You are God of truth. We ask that You would help them to be diligent and responsible, putting their best effort into everything they do, knowing that whatever they do, they should do it as if they were serving You directly. We pray for them that they would be brothers who love one another. We pray for their faith and love towards God. We pray that they would honor and esteem God in everything. We pray for their salvation and their walk with Jesus Christ.
Lord, help them to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We pray for their mother, too, that they would live lives worthy of her prayers. May they each say, "For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain" Philippians 1:21 WEB. May they remember that the fear of God is the beginning of knowledge. May their relationship honor God and be a light to those around them. May God give them wisdom, guidance, and direction at their age and every stage of their life. We pray that they would embrace and serve you as their Lord and Savior and not depart from your ways.
Father, we ask that You would surround them with godly influences and protect them from worldly temptations. We pray for them and their mother that they would love You with all their heart, with all their soul, and with all their mind. We pray for them that they would love their neighbor as themselves. Help them to be compassionate to others.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage this mother to continue praying fervently for her sons. Let us remember the verse, "But Jesus called them to him, saying, 'Allow the little children to come to me, and don’t hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these'" Luke 18:16 WEB. Continue teaching them the Word of God, for "All your children shall be taught by Yahweh; and great shall be the peace of your children" Isaiah 54:13 WEB.
