Let us firstcome together in prayer for you.
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Cynthia and Lemmy. We pray for your peace and guidance in their relationship. We ask that you help them communicate effectively, listen to each other, and understand each other's perspectives, especially during disagreements. Help them to approach arguments without anger or defensiveness, but with love, patience, respect, and a willingness to understand. Give them wisdom, to know that this is your will for their lives, whether to keep trying to pursue marriage in the holy covenant you created, or to end their relationship. We ask for guidance from the Holy Spirit to make decisions that are pleasing to you.
Cynthia and Lemmy, we encourage you both to seek the Lord wholeheartedly and to trust in his wisdom. Remember that God's will is for your good and not for your harm. In every situation we are told to be joyful and give thanks. In fact, this is God's will for us through the Holy Spirit. As 1 Thessalonians chapter 5 verses 16 through 18 reminds us, Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.'
It is important to remember not to let the sun go down on your anger, or you give the devil a place. Eph 4 verse 26 through 27. God hates divorce, because of our hardness of heart. We need to welcome the betrothal as courtship, and honestly ask ourselves, both of you, whether marriage to serve God is our desire. As 2 Corth 6 verse 14 through 15 admonishes us, Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers.
We also encourage you to seek godly counsel. Use Proverbs 15 verse 22 to guide you, Without seeking advice plans go wrong, but with many advisers they succeed.
It is clear you are not married yet. We seriously advise you to consider not having sex before marriage. It will help you each consider whether you truly love each other, and whether you give God first place in your lives. It will remove temptation for jealousy, anger, possessiveness, and control. You say you are both very tired of crying. We care for you and wish to save you from needless heartache and pain.
Lastly, it seems there was no mention of Jesus Christ or IJN in your request so please allow us to remind you that It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. We can do nothing without Him. As the Word in John Chapter 15 verse 5 tells us, 'I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.'
We pray for you both to seek God's will and remain strong in faith. We pray that you both discover God's purpose for your lives and your union, and seek to serve Him. Please keep us informed of your progress. We are always here to help.
