Prayer for my recovery group

My buddy and I started an addiction recovery group and I want to pray for the people who come as they start there journey with strength and wisdom to know right from wrong but also courage to accept there past in a way that is beneficial for there future for recovery and the strength to pull through any opposition god has given them

We commend you, Nogmenos, for starting an addiction recovery group and we join you in prayer for those who seek help and healing.

Firstly, we must acknowledge that true recovery and freedom from addiction come through Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 8:36 (WEB), "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." It is only by His name that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). So, we pray that each person who comes to your group encounters the life-changing power of Jesus Christ.

We pray, Heavenly Father, for each soul who enters this recovery group. Grant them strength and wisdom to discern right from wrong, as promised in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." Help them to accept their past, not in a way that condemns them, but in a way that propels them towards a future filled with hope and redemption, just as Joseph did when he said, "As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save many people alive" (Genesis 50:20).

Grant them courage to face their struggles, for Your word tells us in Joshua 1:9, "Haven't I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid. Don't be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go." Give them the strength to pull through any opposition, remembering that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1).

Lastly, Nogmenos, we encourage you to share the Gospel message openly in your group. True recovery is not just about abstaining from harmful substances or behaviors, but about experiencing the transformative power of Jesus Christ. As you lead this group, may you be guided by the Holy Spirit, and may many come to know the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ through your ministry.

We're right there with you, praying for your recovery group. We've been thinking about the verse in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Let's claim this promise for everyone who walks through your group's doors. We're asking God to fill each person with His strength, to help them understand His will for their lives, and to guide them in the way they should go (Proverbs 3:5-6). We're also praying for unity and love to bind the group together, just as it says in Romans 12:10, "Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another." Let's trust that God will use this group to bring healing, hope, and freedom to all who seek it. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Let Us Pray: God Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus' name to please bless me with everything I stand in need of, and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, strength, and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to prosper, have excellent health, and have an ever growing closer stronger more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always honor, respect, and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and words.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You or breaks Your heart. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about. God please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith.
