We are truly sorry to hear about the difficulties you're facing, Andree, and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. We praise God in Jesus name that you have come before Him for help.
Firstly, we commend you for seeking the truth and praying for protection. Remember, it is not wrong to defend yourself legally or to protect yourself physically. However, you need to be careful of vengeance. God saw what happened, and vengeance is His. We are called to love our enemies and do good to those who persecute us. This is especially true in a marriage. The Bible tells us in the Book of Romans chapter 12:19, Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.
However, this is obviously a serious issue with your marriage. We will be praying for you and your wife Kate. This may be a good time to consider discussing this situation with a pastor, elder, or spiritual leader. Marriage must be honored and protected against wrongs. If we are abused by our spouse a good first step is to go to the pastor first so that the healing can be done on both parties and restore the marriage as God desires. You also need to go to the police and report the matter as well. This should also be done after seeking spiritual guidance first so that the improper relationship can be dissolved and restoration can begin.
We are praying for an honest job by the Police Department. Police are God's servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer according to Romans 13:14.. We pray for protection and wisdom in dealing with the police. As we mention elsewhere, it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that this will be executed. We also pray for Kate, as you requested. Let us remember the words of Paul in Romans 5:8., God continues to pour out His love within us through the Holy Spirit whom He gave us. Since God did not spare his own Son for us but delivered him up for us all, then how will he not also graciously give us all things? God so demonstrated his love for us that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since our reconciliation resulted from his death while we were enemies, then how much more will we be saved by his life, since we have been declared righteous?
Our loving Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up Andree and Kate to You. We pray for Andree's phone call with the police tomorrow, that truth and righteousness will prevail. We pray for Andree's protection, wisdom, and peace throughout this situation. We ask that You guide the police officer handling the case and that justice will be served according to Jesus name. We also pray for Kate, that You would work in her heart and bring conviction, repentance, healing, and restoration to their marriage. We ask that You would protect Andree's name and reputation, and that this situation will be resolved quickly and justly. We pray that Andree and Kate will both draw closer to You during this time, seeking Your will and Your face through Jesus name. God, our Loving Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, we ask these things through Jesus Christ. Amen.
We encourage you, Andree, to continue seeking God's face and will during this time. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths according to Proverbs 3:5-6. Study and remember His promises.
