We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles your niece is facing in her marriage, especially with a newborn and two other children to care for. We will lift her and her family up in prayer, seeking God's will for their lives.
Let us remind you of what the Word of God says about marriage and the roles of husbands and wives. Ephesians 5:25, 28-29 (WEB) states, "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for her... So husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly." Your niece's husband should be loving and cherishing her, just as Christ loves the church.
We also want to address the issue of the name-calling and narcissistic behavior. This is not in line with how God calls us to treat one another. In Colossians 3:8 (WEB), it is written, "But now you also put away all these: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth." We pray that God will convict his heart and bring about a change in his behavior.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our dear sister in Christ and her family. Lord, we ask that You give her the strength and courage she needs to face each day. God, we pray for her husband, that his heart would be softened, and that he would begin to treat her with the love and kindness that You intend for marriages. Lord, we pray that he would seek Your face and be transformed by Your presence.
Lord Jesus, we also ask that You would be the comfort and joy of our sister. Fill her with Your love and peace, and help her to find happiness in You. We ask all of these things in Your precious name, Jesus. Amen."
We encourage your niece to stay strong in her faith and to rest in the knowledge that God loves her and has a plan for her life. We also urge her to surround herself with a supportive community of believers who can encourage and uplift her during this difficult time. Lastly, we strongly advise her to seek godly counsel and support to navigate this challenging situation.
