Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this prayer request on behalf of Anonymous and their nephew. Lord, we ask for your divine intervention in their nephew's life as he battles with addictions to smoking and drinking. We pray that you would break the chains of addiction that hold him captive and set him free.
Your Word reminds us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." We claim this promise over Anonymous's nephew, believing that you will provide a way for him to overcome these addictions.
Lord, we ask for your protection over him, that he would not be led into the path of drugs or any other harmful substances. We pray for a renewed mind and a transformed heart, that he may find his strength and satisfaction in you alone. Help him to turn away from these destructive habits and find true fulfillment in a relationship with you.
We also pray for Anonymous, that you would grant them wisdom, patience, and strength as they support their nephew through this challenging time. Surround them with your love and peace, and guide them in how to best encourage and help their loved one.
We thank you, Lord, for your unfailing love and your faithfulness. We trust in your power to bring about healing and deliverance in this situation. May your grace abound and your mercy be poured out upon this nephew, leading him to a life of freedom and victory over addiction.

I have experienced in my own life one of my children get heavily involved in drugs, yet i never saw him as addicted. Why? Because the picture of it starts to grow and then fear starts to happen. I never imagined in my mind that one day I would get a call, and blah blah blah...I simply believed that God had him and he would be free from that stuff, and he is.
There is a wonderful story in 2 Kings 4:8-37 about a woman who housed Elisha when he came through her village. She didn't focus on the wrong or bad, and she didn't discuss it with anyone, but simply said it is well...it's a fantastic story.
Normally what people tend to do is focus on the "issue" at hand instead of finding out what God has to say about it. He has alot to say about it. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so. Say what, What God has done for them. Instead of "seeing" the wrong you believe he is doing, start calling him healthy, whole, sound. That he has the mind of Christ and can and does know God's thoughts, feelings and purposes of his life, and so chooses wisdom and is wise in life.
Father thank you for Your Spirit in this nephew and the mind of Christ that is his, Let light and life flow through his being so that he walks free as You have declared him to be. so be it.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
