We are truly sorry to hear about the sudden loss of your youngest sibling, Markus. In this time of mourning, we want to lift you and your siblings up in prayer, asking God to grant you all the peace, comfort, and direction that you need. It is so important to cry out to the Lord in times of distress. As it says in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
We pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Motheln and their siblings in their time of grief. Lord, You are close to the brokenhearted, and we ask that You comfort them in their sorrow. Grant them Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and guide them through this difficult time.
Lord, as Motheln travels back to their home state, we pray for their safety and protection. We ask that You give them the strength and wisdom to support their siblings and to honor Markus' memory. Help them to draw closer to You and to each other during this time, and may the bonds of love among Brothers and Sisters grow stronger and never be completely broken.
Father, we still remember that since Adam and Eve all mankind are subject to a death. We are blessed by the Holy Scripture that Death is swallowed up in victory and does not have the last word. As it says in 1 Corinthians 15:54-57 WEB, "But when this perishable body will have become imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then what is written will happen: "Death is swallowed up in victory." "Death, where is your sting? Hades, where is your victory?" The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ".
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Motheln, we encourage you to trust in the Lord during this time. Remember that even though your family's chain has been broken here on earth. Through Faith remain united with your family as one in Christ here on earth and in heaven. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 tells us, "But we don't want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don't grieve like the rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus."
Lastly, we noticed that the prayer request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. Although a person may pray to God, our Heavenly Father, Jesus said in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Furthermore in Acts 4:12 it is written, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Not only is Jesus Christ the only way to salvation, but the name of Jesus has a power that is not included in the name God by itself. Notice that demons are subject to us in Your name! Luke 10:17. Therefore, when Making requests to God through prayer it is important to include the name of Jesus Christ and do so in Faith. Faith literally means believing that God exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6. Therefore in addition to just mentioning Jesus name in a an automatic way. It is important to remember that Faith in Jesus Christ is what we want to grow within us and within our fellow believers.
