We understand your concern for your mother and we join you in seeking God’s intervention for her life. Excessive alcohol consumption not only hurts the individual but also affects the family, both emotionally and financially. We turn to God's Word for guidance and strength in this challenging time.
In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, it says, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." This passage reminds us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we should treat them as such.
We pray, “Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your divine intervention in the life of Mythaw’s mother. Lord, deliver her from the bondage of alcohol. Heal her mind, body, and spirit. Give her the strength to resist temptation and the courage to seek the help she needs. Guide her to turn her heart towards You, that she may find true freedom and peace.”
We also encourage you, Mythaw, to stand firm in your faith and to continue praying for your mother. In Philippians 4:6-7, it says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Trust that God hears your prayers and has a plan for your mother’s life.
In addition, remember the power of community and support. In Galatians 6:2, it says, "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." Seek out trusted friends and spiritual leaders who can join you in prayer and offer practical support.
Finally, we remind you that true healing and deliverance come through faith in Jesus Christ. If there is any doubt or lack of faith in this area, encourage your mother to seek a personal relationship with Jesus, for it is through Him that we have access to the Father and the promise of eternal life (John 14:6).
Let us conclude with a heartfelt prayer, "Lord Jesus, we pray for a transformation in Mythaw’s mother’s life. May she come to know You as her Savior and be filled with Your Holy Spirit. Guide her every step and restore her to fullness of life. In Your precious name, we pray. Amen."
