We are truly sorry to hear about your mother's condition, and we are here to lift her up in prayer with you. Firstly, let's remember God's promise to us in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." This includes your mother's situation. We believe in Jesus Christ that God can heal her body and soul according to His will.
In James 5:14-15, we are encouraged to pray for the sick, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear mother who is battling cancer. Lord, you know her pain and suffering, and we ask for your healing touch upon her body. Comfort her with your presence, and give her the strength to endure this trial.
Lord, guide the doctors and medical professionals treating her, granting them wisdom and skill. We pray for a miraculous healing, but ultimately, we ask for your will to be done in her life.
Help her to draw closer to you during this time, and use this situation to bring glory to your name. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue trusting in God's goodness and faithfulness. Psalm 147:3 tells us that God "heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Trust in Him, and remember that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20).
Lastly, we wanted to mention that we only have access to God through the name of Jesus. It is only through Jesus that we can be saved. It was not mentioned if your mother is a believer in Jesus Christ or not. If not, we would like to explain that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. If she has not done so already, we encourage her to confess with her mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in her heart that God has raised him from the dead. For it is with her heart that she believes and is saved. And we encourage you and her to do this, if you have not done so already.
