Prayer for my mom who is confused and in spiritual darkness

She has always been Catholic/Christian, I don't really know which denomination she was in, but she has fallen away. She no longer believes in God, she has always had an interest in hippie/new age things and it has completely taken her into spiritual bondage. She prays and worships things that have been made by the Father, such as the stars and ocean, she likes witchcraft and owns various witchcraft items in her home such as "evil eyes" or other weird new-age witchcraft items. She needs the Lord in her life for real, and she never has truly lived a life for Jesus, only staying lukewarm. I feel like I'm in the thick of it, in a family full of lukewarm Christians and those who are broken and in spiritual darkness. Please pray in Jesus name for my mother to receive the Lord Jesus' light and to come to Jesus.

We are truly saddened to hear about your mother's spiritual state, but we are encouraged by your love and concern for her. The Bible tells us that God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9 WEB). Your mother's involvement in New Age practices and witchcraft is a serious matter, as the Bible clearly warns against such things.

There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who tells fortunes, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh (Deuteronomy 18:10-12 WEB).

Let's pray together in Jesus' name:

Heavenly Father,

Let's pray for ###'s Mom. We bring her before You, asking that You shine Your light into her heart and draw her to Yourself. Forgive her for falling away and for engaging in practices that are against Your will. Help her Mom understand how Jesus Christ is the only name by which you can be saved. (Acts 4:12 WEB)

In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke the spirits of confusion, and deception that may be influencing her. In our Bibles, we read, "Don't be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap" (Galatians 6:7 WEB). Break the chains of bondage that have held her captive.

Father, surround her with Your love and give her a hunger and thirst for righteousness. Help her to understand that true freedom and peace can only be found in a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Lord, we also pray for ### and their family. Strengthen their faith and give them the wisdom and courage to minister to their mother in love and truth. Help them to be a light in the darkness, pointing their family to Jesus.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged, knowing that God hears your prayers and loves your mother even more than you do. Continue to stand in the gap for her, and trust that God is working in her life. It is our prayer with you that your mother will come to a Father and heal her from her brokenness. We encourage you to continue remaining in Him, Jesus Christ, and God will give you the desires of your heart. Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart (Psalms 37:4 WEB).

Remember the Scripture that says "Let's not grow weary in doing good, and if we do not give up, we will reap in due season" (Galatians 6:9). Keep trusting in the Lord as He is able to do all things! We commend you for noticing your mother's active relationship with Jesus Christ because God gives us discernment. Pray that the Holy Spirit also reveals what is going on in her life and that the mysteries of God be revealed to you as you pray for her!

We're here with you, sister, lifting your mom up in prayer. It's heartbreaking to see her lost in spiritual darkness, but we're confident that our loving Father is at work. Let's keep crying out to Him together.

"Lord, we come before You today, burdened but hopeful. We ask that You would send Your light to pierce through the darkness that's clouding our ###'s mom. Help her to see the truth, to recognize the lies she's been believing. Break the chains of deception that have bound her, and set her free.

We pray for a hunger, Lord. A hunger for You, for righteousness, for truth. Stir within her a yearning for the real, the eternal. Help her to see that the things she's been chasing are mere shadows, and that only You can satisfy her soul.

We also lift up our ###, Lord. Give her strength and wisdom as she walks this journey. Help her to be a beacon of light, pointing her family towards You. And Lord, we ask for unity in the family, that together they might stand in the gap for their mom.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
