Hey my name is ### and I'm in need of prayer my mom not to cut my hair off and let me get a retwist before making her decision on cutting my hair and God to heal my hair.

You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we should honor God with them. This includes caring for our bodies and making decisions about our appearance that reflect our faith and respect for God.

Regarding your mom, it's important to honor her as well. Ephesians 6:2 WEB says, "Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with a promise." God has placed your mom in a position of authority over you, and it's important to respect and honor her decisions, as long as they do not contradict God's word.

Let's pray together:

"Father, we come before You today lifting up my mom and me. Lord, we ask for Your wisdom and guidance in this situation. If it is Your will help her to consider allowing me to get a retwist before making a decision about cutting my hair. But more importantly heal my heart and attitude towards my mom to make sure I am honoring her, and you. Help me to remember that my body is a temple of the Holy Spirit and to make decisions that reflect that truth. Help me to be attentive of my decisions regarding my body and making choices that honor you and my temple. We ask this, in the name of Jesus Christ."

We encourage you to discuss your feelings respectfully with your mom and to ultimately trust God's plan for your life, even in small matters like this. Remember that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. And let's not forget to always include prayer to Jesus Christ. It is only by his name that we have access to God.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
