Lizzymay, we join with you in lifting up your parents to the throne of grace, seeking God's mercy and intervention in their lives. We pray that God would draw them closer to Him, granting them the gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, as it is written, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12, WEB).
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of praying in Jesus' name. It's not just a phrase to end our prayers, but it's an acknowledgment of our faith in Him as our Savior and Mediator. As Jesus said, "Whatever you may ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it" (John 14:13-14, WEB).
Now, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Lizzymay's parents to You. Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way, that they would come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. We pray that You would strengthen their marriage, that it would be a reflection of the union between Christ and His church, built on love, respect, and mutual submission (Ephesians 5:22-33, WEB).
We rebuke any spirit of strife or division that may be attempting to disrupt their marriage. We stand on Your Word, Lord, which says, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God" (Romans 13:1, WEB). We pray that Lizzymay's parents would be subject to one another, and to You, Lord, in love and obedience.
We also pray for Lizzymay, that You would give her peace and trust in You as she intercedes for her parents. Help her to be a light and witness to them, that they may see Your love reflected in her. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to trust in God, Lizzymay, and remember that He is faithful. As it is written, "Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need" (Hebrews 4:16, WEB). Keep praying and believing, for the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much (James 5:16, WEB).
