We join you, SalmaSalem, in lifting up your marriage and future family to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In your time of grief, it is understandable to feel scared and long for the support and love that a godly marriage can provide. We are reminded of Psalm 147:3, which tells us that God "heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Trust that He will comfort you in your loss and guide your path to a blessed marriage.
As you seek a husband, be assured that God knows the desires of your heart. We claim Philippians 4:6-7 for you, which says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We pray that God will bless you with a loving, Christ-centered husband who will cherish and respect you as Jesus loves the Church (Ephesians 5:25). We encourage you to seek a spouse who is also a believer, as 2 Corinthians 6:14 advises, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up SalmaSalem. We thank You for the hope and comfort You provide, even in times of grief. Lord, we ask that You guide her steps as she seeks a godly husband. Bless her with a man who will love and cherish her, who will be a strong spiritual leader, and who will strive to live according to Your will. Help them both to grow in their relationship with You, that their marriage may be a testimony of Your love and grace. We claim these things in Jesus' precious name. Amen.
As you navigate this season, continue to trust in the Lord and His perfect timing. Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Remember that "many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails" (Proverbs 19:21).
