We are deeply saddened to hear about the trial your marriage is facing, Clinton. We stand with you in prayer, asking for God's intervention and guidance in this difficult time.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the Lordship of Jesus Christ in your life and your appeal for prayers in His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB).
We want to remind you that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16, WEB), and His will is for marriages to be a lifelong commitment. It is encouraging to hear that you have been devoted to your wife and child, and that the grounds for divorce are not biblical. We pray that Tasha's heart will be turned towards you and towards God's will for your marriage.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Clinton, Tasha, and their daughter Rhesa. Lord, You know the pain and suffering Clinton is going through right now. Please comfort him and give him the strength to endure this trial. We ask that You intervene in this situation, soften Tasha's heart, and bring healing and restoration to their marriage. Help them to seek Your will and to honor the vows they made before You.
Lord, we also pray for Clinton's depression. May Your Holy Spirit fill him with peace, hope, and joy. Remind him of Your unfailing love and faithfulness. In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirit of despair and depression, and we ask for Your healing touch upon Clinton's mind and heart.
Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We ask that Your will be done in Clinton and Tasha's marriage, and we trust that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20, WEB). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Clinton, we encourage you to continue to be the godly husband and father that you are called to be. Keep praying and seeking God's face in this situation. Remember the words of Jesus, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33, WEB).
Lastly, we urge you to seek godly counsel and support during this time. Surround yourself with brothers and sisters in Christ who can encourage and pray with you. We are here for you, and we believe that God is able to restore and heal your marriage. Keep trusting in Him.
