Cughan, we are glad to join you in prayer and offer guidance as you consider marriage and your future. Firstly, we notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ or even hint at being a Christian believer. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. We encourage you to learn and understand the salvation message presented in the Bible.
"for 'whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'"So then, they who are not subject to the law of God, how will they be made righteous? And how will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how will they believe in him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without preaching?"(Romans 10:13-14)
"because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, 'Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.'"(Romans 10:9-11)
We also would like to address some points regarding marriage. As believers, we are called to marry fellow believers.
"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"(2 Corinthians 6:14)
Marriage is a lifelong commitment ordained by God, and it is essential to seek His will in this area. We advise against approaching marriage as a means to achieve personal goals, such as settling down in a particular country. Instead, focus on finding a godly spouse who shares your faith and values, and who will support and encourage you in your walk with Christ.
"Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh."(Genesis 2:24)
"Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it;"(Ephesians 5:22-25)
Let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Cughan to You. Lord, we pray that Cughan will come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We ask that You guide Cughan in Your will for their life, including their future marriage. Help them to seek a godly spouse who shares their faith and values. Give them patience and discernment as they consider potential suitors, and protect them from making hasty or unwise decisions.
Lord, if it is Your will for Cughan to settle down in Canada, we ask that You open the doors for that to happen in Your perfect timing. But more importantly, we pray that Cughan will be deeply rooted in biblical truths and that their primary goal will be to honor and serve You, wherever they may be.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to spend time in God's Word, seeking His will for your life. Trust that He has a plan and purpose for you, and He will guide you as you walk in faith and obedience. If you have any questions about the Christian faith or need further guidance, please do not hesitate to ask.
