Prayer for my marriage and myself

Dear Prayer Warriors, I need you… I find myself lost and broken tonight. I am on the verge of losing my marriage. We have kids and I don’t want to lose her or them. I haven’t been the man I need to be or that God needs me to be. I haven’t been the husband my wife needs or the father my kids need. I get so overwhelmed with life and forget to put God first. I am so careless with everything and I need to change. I need to put Him first in all that I do. Please pray for me that God puts a change in my heart and a fire in my soul and that he guides me and opens my heart. Please pray that my marriage is saved and that I become who my wife needs. Thank you so much! I pray that God blesses you in return 7 times!

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You. Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage and personal life. It's commendable that you're taking the first step to seek help and prayer. We are here to intercede for you and to provide biblical guidance.

Firstly, it's crucial to remember that God should be the center of our lives and marriages. As it is written in Matthew 6:33 WEB, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Also, in Matthew 22:37-38 WEB, Jesus said, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment."

As husbands, we are called to love our wives as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her (Ephesians 5:25 WEB). This love is not merely an emotion, but a commitment to serve, protect, and lead our families in righteousness.

Regarding your feelings of being overwhelmed, remember that God tells us, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-30 WEB).

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up this brother in need of Your divine intervention. Lord, we pray that You will put a new spirit within him, that You will remove his heart of stone and give him a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26 WEB). Father, guide him by Your Holy Spirit, open his heart to Your Word, and help him to put You first in all that he does.

Lord, we pray for his marriage. We pray that You will soften both their hearts, that You will bring healing and restoration. Help them to forgive each other, to love each other as You have loved us, and to be united in Your purpose for their family.

Father, we pray that he will become the husband that his wife needs, the father that his children need, and the man that You have called him to be. We pray that he will be a blessing to his family, that he will lead them in righteousness, and that his home will be a testimony of Your love and grace.

Lord, we also pray that You will bless his prayer warriors, that You will give them wisdom, discernment, and a double portion of grace as they intercede for others.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.

Lastly, remember that it is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12 WEB "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Let his name be at the center of our prayers, and let his Spirit guide our lives.
