Let us come together in prayer for Richwald and their children, Kerrica and Deon.
Firstly, we acknowledge that all of our help comes from the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, "for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Just as God exalted Jesus, let us exalt His name together now as we know "every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father," Philippians 2:10-11 WEB.
Let us pray for Kerrica, who is seeking employment. We ask God that He "supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus," Philippians 4:19 WEB. We also address the issue of the charges against her trying to hinder her from gainful employment Satan. We pray that God will prompt the prosecutor to dismiss all charges. We "stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace," Ephesians 6:14-15 WEB for this situation.
Now let us turn to the sin in Kerrica's Life that may be keeping her from God's blessings and preventing her from gaining employment. We will avoid being dogmatic and asserting that unrepentant sin is always or necessarily the cause of Kerrica being unable to find a job. However, we know that sin does separate us from God being able to bless us. Knowing this we first repent for our own sins. Since prayers can be hindered by the pray-er (that is us) and our own sin, we "Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:23-24. We must take stock of our own sin first before we can "see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother’s eye," Mathew 7-5 WEB.
Assuring that we have our own sin confessed and repented, we raise the possibility of unrepentant sins in Kerrica's lives and the impact on her employment search. That sin blocks us from God and keeps us from salvation and the blessings of salvation that God grants, including getting a job. Prayer also can be hindered by the receiver. That is Kerrica. If their is sin in her life that she will not repent of then her prayers and our prayers for her can be hindered. "But your iniquities have separated you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear." Isaiah 59:2. God wants Kerrica's to be gainfully employed and bless her with more blessings than we could ever imagine. For Kerrica God states, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart," Jeremiah 29:11-13 WEB. Often we treat the symptom and not the cause, the cause of Kerrica's plight could very likely be secret sin. God will be merciful if Kerrica will "seek Yahweh while he may be found. Call you on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. 'For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh," Isaiah 55-7-9 WEB. So we pray Kerrica can be pure in His sight abiding fully and only in Jesus Christ and His will for her life.
Next we turn to the secular charges against Kerrica. God is well aware that charges have been brought against her and as God's children we know that the charges against us are dropped. "Who could bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies [us]" Romans 8:33. So we pray here on Earth for what we know is already true in heaven. We pray for all the charges to be dropped now on Earth what we know is true in heaven. We pray for God to intervene again in all the lives involved knowing that "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires," Proverbs 21:1 WEB. and knowing that the magistrate, prosecutor, and all in authority are God's servant [to do good] Romans 13:4.
Moving on to Richwald's son Deon. We pray for the same concerning unconfessed. unrepentant sin in Deon's life. We also pray for salvation for Deon also and for him to become more like Christ each day seeing that "he who began a good work in [him] will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ," Philippians 1:6 WEB.
Finally we pray for a change in heart for Deon, away from a sinful lifestyle and to godly purity. That God will use this time of trial for His will and benefit to Deon. And that Deon will be returned home, the charges will be dropped, and he live a godly life. We pray "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh; because they have called you an outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeks after" Jeremiah 30:17 WEB.
We are thankful for the opportunity to pray for Kerrica and Deon and for God to answer our prayers according to His will.
