We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles in your marriage, and we commend your faithfulness and commitment to standing for your husband and your union. It is evident that you are seeking God's will and intervening in this challenging situation. Let us come together in prayer and align our hearts with God's Word.
Firstly, it is crucial to remember the power of prayer and the promise that God hears our cries. As it is written in 1 Peter 3:1-2, WEB: "In like manner, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any do not obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear." Your faithful prayers and godly behavior can greatly impact your husband's heart.
However, we must also address that marriage is a sacred covenant between a man, a woman, and God. Both parties should be actively seeking God's will and growing in their relationship with Jesus Christ. As it is written in Ephesians 5:22-33, WEB:
"22 Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. 24 But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; 26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, 27 that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28 Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. 29 For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly; 30 because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones. 31 For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh. 32 This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and of the assembly. 33 Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband."
Let us pray together for your husband and your marriage:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister in Christ and her husband. Lord, we ask that You remove the veil that has fallen over him and draw him back to You. Soften his heart, Lord, and give him a spirit of repentance. Help him to see the love and faithfulness that his wife has shown, and stir his heart to return to their marriage covenant.
Father, we also pray for our sister, that You would continue to strengthen her faith and give her the grace to endure this trial. Help her to be a light in her husband's life, reflecting Your love and kindness.
Lord, we claim Your promise in Matthew 18:19, WEB: "Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven." We agree together, asking for Your intervention and restoration in this marriage.
Finally, we pray for the name of Jesus to be lifted high in this situation. In Jesus Christ's name, we have access to God and it is only by his name that we can be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Remember, beloved, continue to trust in the Lord and stand firm in your faith. God is faithful, and He cares for you and your husband deeply. Keep praying and believing for restoration, knowing that with God, all things are possible. If you have not already, please discuss with your husband directly about Jesus Christ and the means of salvation.
