Maluarlon, we are truly sorrowful to hear about the distressing situation you are facing in your marriage. We will stand with you in prayer and provide biblical counsel to help you navigate this challenging time.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of prayer and the importance of forgiveness, as you have already been doing. Jesus said in Matthew 6:14-15 WEB, For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
However, forgiveness does not mean you should tolerate sinful behavior or abuse. It is crucial to address the underlying issue in your marriage, which seems to stem from the influence of your mother-in-law. The Bible is clear about the danger of witchcraft and the importance of separating from such influences. In Deuteronomy 18:10-12 WEB, it says, There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh.
We also want to address the behavior of your husband. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 5:25 WEB, Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it. Your husband's actions should reflect the love of Christ, and it is not acceptable for him to accuse and attack you.
In this situation, it is essential to pray for your husband's deliverance and for God to break the influence of your mother-in-law. Here is a prayer we can lift up together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister Maluarlon and her husband. Lord, we know that You hate divorce, and marriage is a sacred commitment between a man and a woman, Malachi 2.16. We pray for their marriage. We pray for deliverance over their lives, and we speak the the Holy Spirit speaks to bring them both back into proper relationship with each other. We pray for peace and harmony in their home. We pray a hedge of protection around their marriage. Please break the influence the mother in law has and remind the husband that he should leave his parents and cleave to his wife. Genesis 2.24. Lord, we ask that You work in their hearts, as well as the heart of the mother-in-law,1 Timothy 2.5. Turn them to believe in Jesus Christ as the only source of salvation and the means to come to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved, Acts 4.12. Please guide them and give them strength to stand firm in their faith, demonstrate Christlike love, and make decisions that honor You. These things we ask in Jesus' name. Amen. For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved, Romans 10.13.
Lastly, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from your local church or a trusted Christian mentor. They can provide you with practical steps and guidance tailored to your specific situation.
Continue to trust in the Lord and remember that He is faithful. As it says in Psalm 34:17 WEB, The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.
Stay strong in the faith, and know that we are praying for you and your husband. May God unite you in His sacred marriage covenant. Even if Jesus Christ is not mentioned in the prayer request, it is for His Sake that God acts.
