We understand that you're going through a challenging time, Phortolos, and we're here to pray with you and offer biblical guidance. We're reminded of what the apostle Paul writes in Ephesians 4:26-27, 29, 31-32 (WEB): "Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil... Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear... Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God also in Christ forgave you."
Firstly, we notice that you didn't mention the name of Jesus in your request. It's important to remember that it is only throughHis name that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Let's keep this in mind as we pray.
Now, regarding the anger and disrespect between you and your husband, we must remind you that God commands us to love and respect one another, even in difficult times. Colossians 3:18-19 (WEB) says, "Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them." This doesn't mean you should tolerate abuse, but it does mean that you should strive to maintain a spirit of love and respect, even when dealing with conflict.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Phortolos and her husband. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in their marriage. Please help them to overcome the anger and disrespect that has crept into their relationship. Give them the strength to forgive each other, as You have forgiven us. Help them to speak words that build each other up, rather than tearing down. We pray for a miracle of reconciliation and restoration in their marriage, according to Your will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you, Phortolos, to keep praying and seeking God's will for your marriage. Trust that He can turn even the most difficult situations around for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). Keep your focus on Jesus, and He will see you through this storm.
