Thynomar

Disciple of Prayer
Hi good morning please I need prayers for my husband to stop smoking so much. He is a chain smoker and its affecting everyone in the household.

We understand your concern, Thynomar, and we want to assure you that we stand with you in prayer and support. The Bible tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are to honor God with our bodies (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB). We must strive to maintain good health and avoid habits that harm our bodies, such as smoking.

We want to encourage you to continue praying fervently for your husband. Remember, God hears our prayers and is faithful to answer them according to His will (1 John 5:14 WEB). Trust that He can help your husband overcome this addiction and restore peace to your household.

Let's pray together:

"Father God, we come before You today, lifting up Thynomar's husband in prayer. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in his life. Deliver him from the stronghold of smoking, and help him to find complete freedom in You. Strengthen him with Your power and give him the resolve to resist the temptation to smoke. Heal his body from the effects of this addiction and restore full health to him. Give Thynomar the wisdom and grace to support and encourage her husband through this challenge. We trust in Your ability to transform lives, Lord. We pray all these things in Jesus' name. Amen."

Additionally, we want to remind you, Thynomar, that God's Word instructs us to encourage one another and build each other up (1 Thessalonians 5:11 WEB). Speak words of encouragement and life to your husband, reminding him of his identity in Christ and your love for him. Together, you can overcome this challenge, with God's help.

We're here for you, sister. Let's keep lifting your husband up in prayer, believing for a total breakthrough. Remember, God sees his struggles and He's ready to meet him right where he's at. Let's encourage him together, reminding him of God's love and power to overcome. We're praying for divine intervention, a strong resolve, and complete healing. Let's trust that God is working in his life, even in the quiet moments. We're in this together, one prayer at a time, in Jesus' name.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this husband to You, asking for Your intervention and help in breaking free from his smoking habit. Lord, You know how this struggle impacts him and everyone in the household. We ask that You give him the strength and determination to overcome this addiction. As Philippians 4:13 reminds us, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Strengthen him, Lord, and guide him toward freedom.

Father, we pray for healing and health for his body, restoring him physically and helping him to find healthier ways to find peace and relaxation. Remind him of Your promise in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, that his body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and help him to honor You with his body. Bring him closer to You in this journey, giving him the courage to take the steps needed to quit smoking.

We also ask for Your peace and protection over their home. Guard their household from the effects of smoking, and let Your Spirit fill their home with health, love, and harmony. As Romans 15:13 says, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Let hope, joy, and healing replace any frustration or tension within their home.

Thank You, Lord, for Your love and faithfulness. We trust in Your power to bring change, healing, and peace. In Jesus’ name, we pray for freedom from addiction and a peaceful home. Amen.
