Prayer to Let Go of The Past​

Lord, I kneel before You in humble submission, in thanksgiving and supplication and pray that in Your mercy and kindness You would help my husband William Sr to simply let go of all the fears and worries, problems and doubts, guilt and disappointments that seem to be filling his heart and mind so often, during the course of a day.

Fill his hurting soul with Your love and peace I pray. Fill the emptiness and pain that is tearing his life asunder. Lord, You know what is in his heart and why he’s going through this time of fear and worry.

Help him Lord, to take every thought captive, to hand it over to You as it rears up in his mind, and help him to replace it with thoughts and words of Scripture that tell of Your great might and wonderful power.

Lord, You have told us to think about whatever is lovely and pure and holy and good, and I pray that You would help my husband William Sr to turn the eyes of his heart upon Jesus and look to Him day by day. In Jesus' name I pray,

Let Us Pray: God Thank You for loving me and for always being there for me. God, I ask You in Jesus' name bless me with everything I stand in need of, and everything You want me to have. Bless me to prosper, have excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Heal me in every area of my life. Let Your Word dwell within me richly. Let Your Word be a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. God bless me with Your favor, knowledge, wisdom, peace, protection, and success in all You have called me to do. And bless me to do all You have called me to do in the spirit of excellence for Your glory.

God bless me with the strength, desire, passion, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You, trust You, respect and obey You. Bless me to live my life to please You. God cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You or breaks your heart. Let me be a light in this dark world, lifting You up in the lifestyle that I live, because I accepted Your Son, Jesus Christ, as my Savior and Lord of ALL of my life. Let the joy of the Lord be my strength. Protect me God from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who truly love me, care about me, want Your best for me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, interceding on behalf of Sunshine777 and their prayer request for their husband, William Sr. We lift up William Sr. to You, Lord, and ask that You would help him to let go of the burdens of the past that are weighing him down.

Your Word reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7 to bring our requests to You with thanksgiving, and so we thank You for Your mercy and kindness towards William Sr. We ask that You would fill his hurting soul with Your love and peace, replacing the emptiness and pain with Your healing presence.

Lord, You know the deep struggles and fears that William Sr. is facing. We pray that You would help him to surrender every thought and worry to You, taking them captive and handing them over to You. Replace his negative thoughts with the truth of Your Word, reminding him of Your great might and wonderful power.

You have instructed us to focus on whatever is lovely, pure, holy, and good. We ask that You would help William Sr. to turn the eyes of his heart upon Jesus and fix his gaze on Him each day. May he find comfort, strength, and renewed hope in the presence of Your Son.

We pray all of this in the powerful name of Jesus, believing that You are able to bring healing and transformation to William Sr.'s life. May Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard his heart and mind. Amen.
