We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles your husband Stephen is facing with mental health, anxiety, and OCD. We stand with you in prayer, believing in the power of God to bring healing and peace to Stephen's mind and heart.
Firstly, we want to remind you of God's promise in Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB): "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." This verse assures us that when we bring our anxieties to God, He grants us a peace that transcends human understanding.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Stephen to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know the struggles he is facing with anxiety and OCD. We ask for Your divine intervention, that You would touch his mind and bring healing and peace. Help him to cast all his anxieties on You, knowing that You care for him deeply (1 Peter 5:7).
Father, guide Stephen to seek You in all things, to trust in Your goodness and love. Surround him with Your presence, and let Your Holy Spirit comfort and strengthen him. Give him the faith to believe that with You, all things are possible (Mark 9:23).
We also pray for Brenwen, that You would give her the wisdom and strength to support Stephen, that their love would grow stronger through this trial. Help them to draw closer to You and to each other, that their marriage would be a testament to Your unfailing love.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Brenwen, continue to stand firm in your faith, trusting that God is working in Stephen's life. Encourage Stephen to seek God daily, to read His Word, and to pray, knowing that God hears and answers our prayers. Remind him that God has a purpose and a plan for his life, and that this trial can be a means for God to draw Stephen closer to Him (James 4:8).
Remember, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). Trust in Jesus, and know that He is faithful to hear and answer your prayers.
Be strong in the Lord, and do not give up hope. God is with you both, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
