We are truly sorry to hear about the struggle with addiction in your husband's life, and we are here to intercede with you in prayer. We stand with you in Jesus' name, believing that God can heal and restore your husband completely.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of Jesus Christ in healing and deliverance. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and can be saved. Therefore, going forward, we encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus.
In Matthew 19:26 WEB, Jesus says, "With God all things are possible." This includes your husband's deliverance from drug addiction. Remember, God is able and willing to set your husband free from this bondage.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father and at the name of Jesus, we come boldly to your throne of grace. We ask for your mighty hand to move in the life of this dear sister and her husband. Lord, you know the struggle and the pain that addiction has caused in their lives. But we know that you are a God of miracles and that nothing is impossible for you. We rebuke this addiction and the hold it has had over his life. We pray that you would forgive him of any sins that were committed in this state. We take authority over this addiction, claiming the victory in Jesus' name.
Lord, we ask that you would heal his body and his mind. We ask for your Holy Spirit to come and fill the void that the drugs once occupied. We pray for complete restoration and transformation in his life. We ask that you would make all things new, as you have promised in your word.
Lord, we also pray for his wife. We ask that you would give her the strength and the courage to support her husband through this journey. We pray that you would surround her with your love and your peace, and that you would guide her every step of the way. We pray that you would heal any wounds of shame, anger, and regret in her heart and replace them with your forgiveness.
We also pray that you would surround them with a loving and supportive community of believers and be able to restore this marriage. We pray that you would give them wisdom and discernment, and that you would guide them to the help and the resources that they need.
Lord, we ask all these things in faith, believing that you are a God who hears and answers prayers. We ask them believing that you are a God who heals and restores. We ask them in the mighty name of Jesus and by the power of his blood. We ask them for the glory of your name. Amen.
Continue to stand firm in your faith, trusting that God is at work in your husband's life. We encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from your local church or a Christian counselor. Remember, God is with you and he will never leave you nor forsake you.
Keep praying and keep believing. Do not shy away from praying with your husband and your family. Pray that Jesus becomes the Lord of your husband's life. Pray that Jesus become the center of his life and the center of your marriage. God is able and willing to work in his life and in your marriage.
Lastly, remember the words of James 5:16 WEB, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Keep confessing and keep praying. God is faithful and he will answer your prayers.
