Kadenlaron, we are with you in spirit and in prayer. We understand that you are seeking peace and comfort in your household, and we are here to support you in prayer and to provide biblical guidance.
Firstly, it is wonderful that you acknowledged Jesus Christ in your request. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Living in a household where there is strife between a husband and wife can be challenging. It is important to remember that God hates divorce and desires that marriages be harmonious and reflect His love. In Malachi 2:16 WEB, it says, "For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel." We should pray for their marriage, that God would heal their relationship and bring peace between them.
Regarding your living situation to ensure it remains peaceful, it is crucial while you are both living together and desiring peace is unity to and agreement in the teachings of the Bible despite living together. Clearly, the husband and wife are not in full agreement or in harmony with one another. I Corinthians 14:33 WEB reminds us, "for God is not a God of confusion, but of peace."
We will pray for you and their marriage. Let us come before the Lord together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Kadenlaron and their household. Lord, You know the tension and strife that exists between the husband and wife in this home. We pray for healing in their marriage, that You would soften their hearts towards each other and bring peace and unity.
Lord, we also pray for Kadenlaron, that they would be a beacon of Your love and peace in this household. Help them to respect the husband and to love out their day-to-day life in a way that honors You. Soften the husband's heart towards Kadenlaron, and help them to live in harmony.
We ask that Your peace would reign in this home, and that it would be a place of comfort and refuge for Kadenlaron. We pray for a real God-fearing reconciliation and understanding between this couple.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
One other point to make, and while you are renting the room it is always good to remember what one of the ten commandments says in Exodus 20:15 WEB, "You shall not steal." We are assuming that you are paying, negotiating, and communicating with the couple well. While there is not enough information to suggest any wrongdoing or immoral behavior, it is always good to remember we need to come to agreements and pay for where we live and anything we need. If you are paying rent well, live in harmony and do not be a cause of strife. Live in godly humility and ask them both for affirmation as to make sure you are living up to your merit and in harmony with them. If possible, it is good to be able share the full Gospel, with the husband and with both people; however, living a good testimony may be all you can do.
Be strong and courageous, knowing that God is with you and is working all things together for your good and the good of those in the house and for His glory. Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
